Hall Stall Fault

Introduction

The Hall stall feature will trigger a fault condition if the controller is seeing > 20% of rated motor current being outputted but with no change in motor position being detected.

Note

The Hall Stall Fault feature only works for motor position sensor type 0 (Hall Based)

Setting Hall stall fault time to 0 will disable this feature. When the Hal stall fault time is non-zero, the feature will wait for a state change at Digital Inputs bit 0 (Hall A), Digital Inputs bit 1 (Hall B), and/or Digital Inputs bit 2 (Hall C) for the time written to the parameter before triggering warning bit 2.

Configuration

  1. Set Hall Stall Fault time to a non-zero value (in milliseconds).

    Warning

Setting the Hall stall fault time too low could result in false faults during transient periods of enabling throttle.
